Great first bat - coach pitch level

| I bought this bat for my son who just started baseball in coach pitch. I had bought him another bat that just did not work because it was too heavy. Being new to the game he started in the bottom of the order and was able to work himself up in the middle of the lineup with the Omaha. I think it the might have the largest drop(Length to weight ratio) of any bat for kids. My son's was only 28" /14.5oz. It it a decent bat, good pop, hits true with no vibration stingers but it has nothing like the crazy pop of something like the Easton Stealth (it became illegal in our league mid season). Once my son developed the strength he could move to heavier bats with greater power. The smaller kids on the team then gravitated to using this Omaha too. All in all if your kid's swing speed is slow or late, they are small or just not strong enough yet- then this is a good purchase. All in all I honestly can say that my son developed the hitting skill strength and confidence to step up a level in half a season with this bat. It will stay in the bag for next season as his backup. |
